First off, let me just say that geese are vile, vile creatures. After a spending a little too much time weighing my options, I decided that the infinite number of picturesque places around this fisherman bespeckled lake were worth braving the small army of geese feeding there, but after several failed shots due to sneak attacks from apparently territorial fowl I’m not exactly sure I made the right decision. Poses were successfully held for just long enough to produce convincing photos, but honestly I’m amazing I made it back to the car unbitten. That citrus orange wall definitely has to be one of my favorite backdrops so far-the crumbling plaster and offensively bright color were borderline entrancing, so retreating back to the car before snapping a couple of shots in front of it was really out of the question. Also, it definitely didn’t hurt that it seemed to match the dress in some vaguely perturbing way. I picked up this dress last weekend during a day trip to *gag* Westwood. For some yet to be determined reason I really can’t stand that place, but the slightly longer than sane drive and constant uncomfortable feeling there are worth it if only for the existence of a Brandy Melville shop. Their clothes hang off the shoulders in just the right way, and their dresses-like this little floral one-are all adequately shapeless and expansive from an armhole perspective. I’m not usually one to wear floral-and in all honesty this dress is one of the few flower covered articles in my wardrobe-but this silhouette was just so stupidly me that there was no way I could say no.
