The #1 source for fashion inspiration from real people around the world.
I put this look together in my mind sometime during class this week... just a daydream that became reality!
I wore this for marching at our high school football team's playoff game halftime today, so it needed to be something fashionable, yet warm!
Starting at the top, I braided my hair across in a headband-like manor. It added some eloquent detail... it's like lace for your hair, if you will. I put the rest of my hair back into a messy bun and wrapped a white ribbon around it in a bow. I wore bright red lipstick as gingerbread characters normally display and had gumdrop-like earrings.
The collar was more intricate frosting and the brooch was a button. I wore a white long-sleeved top under my tan sweater to both stay warm and add more "frosting" in cuffs around my wrists. My nails were painted bright red to match my lips as well, and while I was marching I had on white gloves to really create contrast.
My brown shorts and nude tights appropriately added more gingerbread, as did my easy-to-march-in, cold-weather-appropriate, scandanavian-feeling boots. Of course, I matched them with a final coating of white nordic-print socks.
Is it just me, or must gingerbread men be of northern European origin?
