Any perceptible hair differences here are the result of a hair trim this morning. I’m pretty sure I was the worst customer that the salon had all day-I knew that I needed to take a decent amount off to repair the second generation split ends going on pretty much all over my head but I didn’t actually want the length to change at all. I also had absolutely no idea what I wanted from a stylistic perspective. Layers, frames, thinning-it’s all more or less like a foreign language to me and I was changing my mind by the nanosecond.
After an unnecessary amount of trepidation I finally let the stylist take some scissors to my locks, and she even talked me into letting her fix my bangs, which I admittedly hacked in myself one night because I couldn’t sleep and had only just recovered the scissors after a year of using slightly dull kitchen knives for just about everything. Looking at these photos, I really can’t see too much of a difference, but that’s kind of exactly what I wanted. It is nice to have my bangs finally be somewhere in the ball-park of the same length though.
These photos came from one of those amazingly impromptu times when you’re driving down the street and suddenly see a spot with wonderfully hazy lighting and an awesomely textured tree, so you pull over and almost cause a four-car-pile-up but it’s all somehow worth it because you finally have pictures in which half of your face isn’t an amorphous white blob. Also, I’m wearing what I’m convinced is the most comfortable thermal in the world, and that’s a pretty high standard considering the soft, strangely body molding nature of most thermals.
