I love Halloween!!! With this look I was the "White Deer" and to complement me, my boyfriend dressed as "The Hunter."
I wanted to put together the entire costume myself.
The 'DIY Deer Antler & Ears Headpiece' I created out of 2 miniature 4 point shed antlers that I painted white, attached with glue and mounted with screws onto a shaped felted base that I cut and coated in the same white shade, and then next to the antlers I also attached some soft foam/wire ears that I hand stitched in pink and white satin. The final touch of the headpiece has some fur tufts in the ears that I hand dyed pink, and even more natural fur tufts around the ears to give it that final animal like character. I was able to keep the headpiece on and in place all night long (and throughout multiple costume parties) with attached white ribbons ties.
I also created a matching 'DIY Deer Tail' out of soft foam, hand stitched satin, with white wrap around waist ribbon ties.
Since the headpiece was the main focal of the costume, the rest of the outfit I kept fairly simple. I focused on the white color with the contacts, the bodysuit, and the tights, pinning on the white rabbit pelt 'DIY Deer Belly.' Then for the feet I painted little DIY half cut black socks to attach over my fur boots to look like deer hooves.
The End :) HAPPY HALLOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!!
