Simple goals today included getting to a CVS or somewhere similar to pick up necessities, walking over the Sunset just for the sake of moving at least a little, and finally, finally remembering to reply to some once urgent now much overdue emails, but after things kind of snowballed into weirdness last night and an emergency vampire sleep schedule was initiated, I didn’t actually manage to get out of bed until the light threatened to fade into non-photographic levels of absence. I decided to go to the extreme polarization of all the costumeness of last night and threw on this collared button down and surprisingly not-too-long plants for a bit of an office-appropriate vibe. Not that I go to an office on a regular basis. But it felt at least a little refreshing to know that I could fade in with all the water coolers and cubicles if for some reason the need arose.
I’m actually pretty excited about these pants. Being just a little to short for most normal store sizes, finding things that don’t need to be hemmed or taken in or altered in some other strange way is practically a once in a lifetime experience, and when that discovery also happens to be less than $20 I know I’ve really lucked out. I like how these ones are vaguely similar to the renditions that Phillip Lim crafted an unknown number of seasons ago and that I spent way too much time stalking on Shopbop. Only a million times cheaper and slightly more blatant, light-colored crumb attractant.
