I choose to wear what I like and what looks good to *me*. I think this is the only way to truly have fun with fashion. Dressing to please others means you're always worrying about the feedback you'll get and usually judging your body too harshly. Having a positive relationship with your body means being kind and loving to it. Thankfully a few members of my generation have created wonderfully positive spaces in the internet, this is where I was first inspired to better my relationship with my body and myself. It involves working towards not being ashamed of any part: in my case, I'm always working on accepting my stomach. So in this post you get a picture where my belly is quite evident. These shorts do nothing to hide it, but I love showing them off because I studded them myself. They give this quite casual punk look a unique touch. I also really love the Union Jack knit sweater! Topped off with studded bangles, a leather wrist cuff, a cross ring and a tartan bow on my head (not visible because of the angle, boo!) it makes one of my favorite outfits to wear when I don't have the energy to dress up too fancy.
