For this look, I aimed to shine in a sea of basics with this flowy silhouette and an almost all-white look that is to be everything but boring.
I got the top from Forever 21 a year ago but only managed to feature it on this look. I just couldn't find the right bottoms for it since it's a crop top and would show so much skin if worn with something low waist which is what is bombarding the malls at the moment. So, now that I found something to pair it with, here it is! When I was in F21 that day when I was to buy it, I wasn't really convinced that I should go for it because, for the same reason, I still don't have something to wear it with. But since it has this lace detail, I couldn't resist! I love the laid back feel that emanates from the top. The bat-wing feature makes my mom arms look tolerable and the thin and lightweight fabric makes the whole thing really comfortable.
For the bottoms, it's just the same lace shorts that I wear in my previous look. It has actually emerged as one of my fashion favorite. Quite frankly, I tend to think that this is one thing that everyone should have in their closets because it can be worn with a massive amount of other pieces. Whether simply casual or over the top formal, this pair can be used to spice up any look. It's neutral color makes it an easy partner to different tops and accessories and its intricate lace detail spell out chic like no other pair of shorts. I think it's the one of those ultimate tickets to versatile fashion success.
For the shoes, I chose this little red pair form Chelsea. I just really love its velvety texture and its bold hue. I loved how it broke the all white combination and took this whole look up a notch. Also, since it's not strappy and only the sides of the feet are covered, unlike when I'm wearing sneakers, my legs look longer and thinner. Of course, this effect is also induced with the help of the pretty shorts. Moreover, since the heels are just a couple of inches high, they're super comfortable.
