I decided to wrap up my 2012 posts with an ode to a trend that staked it’s claim this past Fall/Winter, which is the beloved color oxblood. Despite it having any vulgar connotation, I’ve learned to appreciate the color and it’s family palette (maroons, rubies, etc.) as I’ve gotten older – I’ve always found it to be rather mature and that it emulated a sense of royalty. But when I was finally given the tools (aka awesome pieces of clothing) to wear it properly, I found it can be as playful as any other fun color.
