I like to get away with paying as close to nothing for my outfits as possible. This entire set is made up of hand-me-downs, borrowed pieces, and thrifty finds. For someone who may appear moderately fashionable, you might be surprised to know that shopping for clothes severely stresses me out. I can't even spend $5 on something unless I feel like I'm getting a deal. All of that to say, you don't have to be a shopping queen to play up your wardrobe. Use basics, accessorize, try new hairstyles, and borrow from friends (and even your parents -- this long cardigan was resurrected from a old sweater box in my mom's closet). When you don't have lots of money to spend, there's lots of opportunities to get creative.
