Cee F. - Shine
HYPE 30

I woke up one day during the holidays with a sudden and surprising realisation – I do not work in an office anymore. Of course, I’ve known that since September, but it took my subconscious a while to clue in and so I had gone on making my shopping decisions the same way I had during my five years in the insurance industry… choosing pieces that I liked, but could style to wear to work. Not anymore. I’m finally embracing the idea that I can dress any way I please without ever taking a company dress code into consideration. I’m not going to lie, it’s a pretty amazing feeling. Gone are my days of casual envy; I’m learning how to dress casually for style instead of for lounging in front of the TV while I decompress after a stressful week. Needless to say, there has been a lot of experimentation; my new office-free wardrobe is filling up with chunky knits, lots of studs and pants, pants, pants. Once upon a time, I lived denim-free for a year – now, I’m considering challenging myself to style nothing but pants for a month! I wore this outfit for my first visit to The Rose Bakery... and fell in love with the look and the pastries!
