Would you ever guess that I’m actually wearing this delicate and romantic dress backwards? When I initially spotted it draped on the racks of a boutique in East Village, an awkward ruffle went down the middle of the front of the dress. But, the price was too good, the heart shaped pattern was too cute and the cut was too girly and flirty that I HAD to find a way to make it work. So I flipped the dress around, created a lower back and a higher neckline (which I prefer anyways) and the dress was transformed! Simple as that!
This overall outfit reminds me of my street style I rocked in New York City last summer. I love pairing short girly dresses with chunky biker boots and a wide rimmed hat. These boots I ordered off of Nasty Gal and immediately fell in love with the silver buckles and zip on the inside of the boot. I just moved in around the corner from the Marc Jacobs bookstore (I know who knew he had a bookstore!?) and as a result found myself perusing the shelves and coming across this gorgeous long gold chain with a transparent jewel at the bottom and little pearls sprinkled around it. I layered it with my short and classic Tiffany’s diamond necklace and I was good to go!
This hat I could honestly wear with anything, especially if I’m having a bad hair day or I’m in a rush-it’s the perfect accessory to enhance your features!
