The #1 source for fashion inspiration from real people around the world.
My mother and I went on quite the adventure yesterday to find the best light in Century City/Beverly Hills. I love discovering new venue’s to shoot outfits in because not only does it make the experience more exciting and new but it’s also interesting to see how the various backgrounds influence the overall feel of a specific outfit.
In this case, we shot in an empty parking lot off little Santa Monica blvd. and on a black metal staircase in a construction zone that didn’t smell very good but the photos we produced made the whole experience worth it.
I have been meaning to blog about this extraordinary dress for quite some time. I came across it at a Vintage shop on 3rd street in West Hollywood around Halloween last year. I was initially drawn to it because of the conservative yet sexy vibe it gave off. This dress is a perfect example of how you don’t have to wear something tight, short or revealing to look or feel sexy! In fact, a knee length, long sleeve dress like this can do the trick!
The long sheer sleeves and floral pleats that hang from my waist down really made this dress appealing when I saw it hanging on the racks. I paired it with my gold embellished booties from Zara that I bought in Germany and this vintage gold and black necklace I got for Christmas last year in my stocking. I wouldn’t describe this dress as particularily striking yet paired with these booties and rare Vintage necklace, the whole outfit came together in an innovative and flavorful way.
The tragedy that occurred in Boston yesterday is heartbreaking and my prayers go out to the victims and their families.
More pictures coming soon but until next time…
