The #1 source for fashion inspiration from real people around the world.
I don’t take pride in the fact that every work event I go to that involves shopping and discounts (or a lot of the stores I go into to pull) I walk away with far more personal clothing than my closet has room for, but I believe in a life without regrets. And so last week, as I waited to interview Victoria Justice at the launch of H&M’s latest Conscious Collection, I saw this dress, tried it on, and paid for it--it’s not my fault she was running late.
Typically, when I’m wearing all back, I tend to reach for the most obnoxious colored shoe I have in my repertoire-some might say it’s my favorite cobalt pump while others would vouch for my deep red slingback-but because this dress has so many details from the asymmetrical silhouette to the fitted lace arms, I chose the most simple black heel I own. I absolutely love everything going on with this design, if you look past its La Bamba qualities (another reason shoe choice was so crucial) you notice how intricate the details really are. The skirt is also detachable, so the look can transition from classy to…classy in a different way…in two seconds. Not to mention that it is H&M and only $70, kind of amazing-I almost feel like I made money on this purchase.
