Photographed by Anton Aguila.
This has got to be my most favorite shot in lookbook so far. theres drama and movement which I often do not explore in my photos. This was something Ive been wanting but couldnt accomplish simply because I lack time to do so. Good thing fashion week came in Manila and it allowed me to indulge in my fantasies and work with an amazing photographer.
I liked how this was so clean and understated . I kept it that way because to let the focus be on the jacket. For non fashion folk it will seem like a normal black jacket. But in fact its far from simple. Im wearing a vintage Issey Miyake pleated jacket made in a very complex process where pleats collide creating uneven undulating angular shapes which gives the jacket a random and asymmetrical structure which is quite impressive. To wear an Issey Miyake jacket
is a huge thing for me because he pioneered seamless garments constructed in pleated fabric which was avantgarde back in his heyday.
Now his work is still considered a classic. A must have.
