Buried in Pacific Palisades is this discrete canyon where we found a small area that looked as if it had been lifted from the rugged, sandy ground of Palm Desert and dropped right into a corner of this canyon where we shot these incredible photos. It has been a great joy for me during this whole blog experience to find obscure and beautiful niches in Los Angeles that I had never seen before.
How amazing are these red leather shorts? I came across them at Buffalo Exchange this weekend for $13.00 and I instantly knew exactly how I wanted to style them. What went through my mind was “biker chic.” As a result, I dug out my Topshop muscle cropped tee, signature leather Jeffrey Campbell black lace pumps and this floral biker jacket I bought during an absurdly cheap sale on Nasty gal .
When I first hung each of these items on a rack to see visually how they would look together, I was honestly skeptical about how it would turn out, especially throwing this animated biker jacket in the mix. Like most wardrobe pieces I put together, sometimes you just gotta throw it on to see how it looks and in this case, it was a perfect match!
These Jeffrey Campbell heels have traveled with me everywhere and are one of the best investments I ever made in a pair of shoes. I bought them about two years ago when I was living in New York and wore them almost every night I went out in the city. The wooden heel creates a more casual feel to these shoes and the platform is basically the same height of the heel-making them effortlessly comfortable! I love a pair of heels that make my legs look long and aren’t too fancy.
This bracelet and ring my mother bought for me in NYC at Henri Bendel. I love how the bracelet incorporates pastel colors such as brown and off white, but adds a little sparkle and bling with these fun jewels. Perfect wrist candy for this outfit!
So nice that this has been a short week and more photos to come but until next time…
