I completely went out on a limb with this photo shoot. We shot these in the pitch black dark at an empty, abandoned, closed car wash and in front of a vintage shop at 11pm deep in North Hollywood. It was so dark that I was convinced the quality of these photos would be awful. To my surprise, they came out in such a smoky and eerie way that is so much different than any other photos I’ve taken on my blog. I feel like if I shot these photos during the day, they wouldn’t have the same effect.

I headed over to the Hollywood Palladium last night to see Imagine Dragons perform (they were incredible), and threw on this little MINKPINK summer dress that is so light, airy and comfortable. I love dresses that fit me the way this one does. It hugs my upper body, but flares out at the waist and hangs right above my knees. I feel this cut is so flattering and I’m instantly drawn to any dress that is designed like this!

These Tory Burch booties are a perfect example of how going through your closet once a week can be beneficial for someone who has a terrible memory like mine. I actually forgot that I owned these booties as I bought them three years ago in Boston while I was in college and it seems they accidentally took permanent residence in one of my unorganized shoe baskets, only to be rediscovered a couple of days ago! They were the perfect addition to this dress as the heel gave me some height and I love the subtle gold side zipper on the inside of the boot.

For accessories, I went with my long gold and pearl Marc by Marc Jacobs eyeglass necklace, a leather and gold plated CC Skye bracelet and my staple JD Luxe gold rings. This Urban Outfitters purse is extremely large and heavy, but I love the vintage style fringes that hang from it and the small gold jewels around front straps

Looking back, this outfit turned out to be the perfect concert outfit as it was comfortable, trendy and easy to put together.

Thank God it’s Friday! More photos to come but until next time…

Xx,

Lindsay L Simon
