As for my outfit, I went for something structured and classy yet still feminine and soft. And to think, I was worried about being too dressed up - one girl turned up looking like she'd just fallen out of the dance club having partied all night. I hate to be rude, but seriously, a red laced body-con super short dress and sky high heels?? Definitely not something I'd be caught dead in at a wedding! And if some girl turned up like that at mine, she'd be sent straight home to change! Some girls just have no clue...god, I sound so old don't I?! Ah well :)
As for this skirt, it's definitely one of my favourite pieces I have in my wardrobe - the length is just perfect and so flattering, and I just love the colour. It also brings about it a lot of nostalgia - I used to wear this kind of skirt as part of my school uniform, albeit much more structured and in a dark navy colour back then. But instead of combining it with the obligatory flats we had to wear at school, I went for nude heels to help lengthen my legs and not distract from the skirt, which, lets face it, was the main feature!
And to accessorize, I went for gold jewelry and my gorgeous snake skin clutch with gold detail. I was going to wear a nude belt to tie the look all together from shoes to accessories, but I realised at the last minute it was too big for me and I didn't have time to make a new hole in it! Whoops.
