All white ensembles have been a hit on many of the Spring/Summer fashion runways. Being the not-so skinny person that I am, I figured I’d give the look a try for my photo shoot in Miami. As we were walking around the Wynwood Art District, I noticed this black and white graphic nook and fell in love. The contrast of the graphic art with my almost all-white look screamed urban cool at its finest.
Wearing this all white outfit helped me conquer my own insecurities about my back fat, rolls, stretch marks, etc. I have finally come to terms with the fact that I may never have the body of my dreams, but I love myself no matter what size. Losing over 50 pounds helped me embrace my personal style even more (more options as far as finding clothes I like) but it will never change who I am on the inside, or really change my personal style preferences.
As my friends would say, I am " Thug Nasty" and I will continue to represent the 90s, 80s, and hip-hop culture with a “snapbacks and stilettos” attitude.
Feel free to check out more photos of this look from my shoot on my blog!
