Before attending the Svedka Summer House Party up Benedict Canyon last night, Alisa and I decided to shoot a couple of photos around the neighborhood of Beverly Hills. If you’ve never wandered around Crescent Blvd., it is filled with lavish gates, extravagant homes and beautifully manicured lawns.
I’ve found that sometimes simple outfits like a pair of great high waisted skinny cropped jeans and a simple white button up can often be more attractive than overdoing it with outrageous prints (which I like to do sometimes as well!). I love this sleeveless white button up I found at BCBGeneration, especially tucked into my favorite high waisted Topshop jeans and a fab pair of Calvin Klein leopard print heels.
I never wear earrings because I’m more inclined to throw on a necklace and stack bracelets, but since it’s summer and I love turquoise, I decided to wear these beautiful Stella & Dot turquoise earrings last night. In addition to never wearing earrings, I also NEVER tuck my hair behind my ears! With the earrings in full view, it really made my skin glow, eye color pop and hair look a little darker than I remembered.
This wooden, vintage bag I found in my mom’s closet the other day and it could quite possibly be my favorite little treasure I’ve stumbled across in her closet. It’s the perfect summer bag to pair with a long colorful maxi dress or with a pair of jeans and white tee like I wore above. This bag is not only so adorable from the outside but the inside is covered in red velvet fabric and hidden pockets.
I stacked my favorite Henri Bendel bracelets with my staple Tiffany & Co. watch and Alisa and I were off to the Svedka Summer House Party. We ended up having such a good time as the DJ was awesome and the view of Los Angeles was one of the best I’ve ever seen (which could be due to the fact that we arrived at sunset).
Many more outfit posts to come but until next time…
