The #1 source for fashion inspiration from real people around the world.
About three weeks ago, I finally built up the courage to buy a pair of overalls from one of my favorite boutiques on Melrose-JOA . It’ no secret that seeing a certain piece of clothing draped on a model can be a much different experience than actually wearing it yourself. Therefore, I was fearful of how this certain piece of clothing would look on me. After trying it on numerous times and shifting my weight from my right to left foot infront of the mirror, turning to the side, looking over my shoulder, I agreed that these were an investment I wouldn’t regret. For one, I have worn these for the past three days: first with this tight brown Brandy Melville crop top, then with a loose striped James Perse tee and finally over a Wildfox bathing suit. Oh the possibilities!
I went for a bolder look with this outfit as it exposed my sides and hips a bit. However, I embraced it and added my favorite Zara statement necklace, Balenciaga bracelet, Vidakush and J.D. Luxe Rings and this really cute brown and gold bracelet my mother bought me. I paired this outfit with these outrageously high heeled Jeffrey Campbell lace up shoes to contribute to the badass look I was going for.
Half way through the shoot, Alisa suggested I throw my hair up into a loose high bun. I was pretty skeptical about it, but with the open back cut of these overalls and the statement necklace draped across my neck, it made for such a cute and casual look.
Can’t wait to shoot in New York! More photos and outfits to come but until next time…
