The best thing about a simple, comfortable off-white maxi dress is that there are endless possibilities on how to style it. The night before we shot these photos, I stood in front of the mirror contemplating how I could best wear it. First, I tied a belt around the middle and scrunched up the material over the belt to make it shorter and added little brown booties. Next, I let the dress hang, stacked a bunch of bracelets, put on some wedges and hoop earrings. The third and final experiment turned out to be the winner…

My mom just returned home from Italy and brought me back this beautiful hand sewn dress. I love the way it hangs on my body and the material is so soft I could sleep in it. The simplicity of this dress and the sheer material that hangs right over my denim Madison Harding booties is what really makes it so flattering.

I bought this chunky necklace three years ago in New York with my mom at a vintage store and knew I had to have it. However, after this purchase that I was so confident about, I couldn’t find a way to style it! Then this dress came along and it was the perfect match. I love how unique this necklace is and how the bright colored pink and blue ropes swing around my neck connected to a thick, silver chain. This necklace is one of a kind and paired with a simple maxi like the one above really makes it pop! Also, I’ve really enjoyed stacking necklaces lately, so I decided to put on this lovely, dainty Stella & Dot silver necklace that hung high on my chest.

This vintage Karen Scott jacket is another purchase I made at a vintage store in Bantam, Connecticut last week. Generally, I wouldn’t wear Karen Scott as it’s just simply not my style, but this bright colored blue and floral blazer caught my eye AND so did the price tag! SEVEN DOLLARS! There was no thinking that went into this purchase as the deal was too good, the cut fit too perfectly and conveniently the store was closing in three minutes…

Happy Friday!! More outfit posts to come but until next time…

xx,
