Sometimes, life is more like a fairytale than any of us, especially card-carrying cynics like me, are willing to admit. I started Coco & Vera as an antidote to an office job I hated - it was a quick pick me up at the end of a long day, not something I imagined anyone would ever read. I'm being utterly sincere; my first posts read largely as though I'm writing letters to myself. Over the years, it has become a chronicle of my life, which has become infinitely more amazing than I could ever have imagined because of it. A few years ago, the idea that I might model for a lookbook shot in Paris was utterly unfathomable to me; I am, after all, 5'2" and had basically written off the possibility of a modelling career by the time I stopped growing in sixth grade. But there are amazing designers out there who create pieces for real women, even the petite ones, and I was so honoured to put together the fall 2013 lookbook for one of my favourite Vancouver jewelry lines, Keltie Leanne Designs. I've been wearing Keltie Leanne Designs pieces for years, so the collaboration was a very natural one - the collection was inspired by travellers, wanderers and the magic of adventure, which I have been happily living for the past year. Over the next week, I'll be sharing more looks from the lookbook as well as some exciting news, so stay tuned!
