It's funny that Façonnable is so connected to the French Riviera—I wore these Façonnable loafers for a month when I summered on the Riviera, and they were the worst possible shoes I could've chosen: the light-grey stones on the beaches of Nice deposited layers of chalky dirt all over the leather, and the iconic sands of Cannes and Juan-les-Pins cut up the leather under my toes, where the sole had worn thin.
