So! This is my entry for the Halloween competition.
I love Halloween so much. I've been celebrating it since I was 6, and for the Netherlands (where I'm from) that's pretty unique, because we don't 'have' Halloween that long yet.
WHY A BROKEN DOLL?
I think dolls are freaking creepy. My worst nightmare would involve a porcelain doll, a clown and a ventriloqui doll. I love cute stuff, so the porcelain doll with all of it's frillyness is just perfect. To make it more Halloween appropriate, I wanted to do a broken doll.
HOW DID I GET THE COSTUME?
A friend of mine had this cute little maid dress with arm cuffs and head accesoire! She;s super tiny, so I was so glad I could fit in it! Asian measurements.. always tricky! I own the wig myself, I love to dress up, love theme partys and stuff so I have a lot of dressing up tools at home. The shoes are from the recent ASOS sale, only 20 euros! I only had vans and no cute shoes for under all my dresses so I was really happy with it. The stockings are from 1 euro stores in Holland :)
HOW DID I DO MY MAKE UP?
First, I made my face all white. Well, not really white white, but just porcelain-ish. Then using Sugarpill cosmetics (LOVE THEM!) I made my cheeks a little pink. Then, using black, white and pink eyeshadow I prettyfied my eyes. I used a white eyepencil to make under my eye even whiter Then I put my PURPLE circle lenses in. I put reallllly thick long eyelashes on my eyelids, doll like lashes, and smaller once a bit UNDER my eyes, to make my eyes look bigger. I put lipstick on, heartshaped (for the doll effect!) and made 'cracks' in my face with black eyeliner, for the broken doll effect. I made my arms a tint whiter too by the way!
Face close up!
HOW WAS MY NIGHT?
Amazing. I went out with two of my friends, I did their make up too (partially) and it was the best time ever! My boyfriend sings in a band, and they were playing. He wore a banana costume.
