This is my second Hallowe'en look for the Spookbook contest! I wore this out Saturday night and got many compliments. To start, I bought a little headband from the dollar store and some thin gold wire and wrapped it around it to make a halo. I really dislike the ones the bobble on a spring above your head. My shoes are from Payless by a brand called Brash and I love their shoes. They fit my feet really well and I think were on sale for $35! For my dress/outfit, I literally couldn't find anything that I liked that I could afford so I got the lace bustier from Value Village and the white Suzy Shier bralette/bandeau underneath. I got the white fabric for the skirt part at a small local thrift store and went to work! I made the skirt portion, lining and all, and just attached it to the bandeau to make a dress and then just put the lace bustier over top. For my makeup I just did a dramatic version of regular makeup and added false lashes. I really wanted to use body glitter all over too, but totally forgot, boo! Voila! I love getting really creative around Hallowe'en and not just buying a completely made costume. It's much more fun knowing you created something yourself.
