More on my blog about my Halloween-inspired outfit and another Halloween costume!
You have no idea how beautiful and amazing this vintage kimono is... It was too perfect...
I am so in love with the silky color and the gold-silk embroidered "art" on the kimono!!!
I was working at a Halloween party that my boss hosted at his spa, and this was my second pick to say good bye to all the guests who came at the end of the party.
Since there were costumes available at the party, and this Geisha set was one of the selections, I didn't spend any money at all to achieve this look. Even the Obi ( 'wide sash' to tie the kimono) is a ribbon of a robe at the spa.
I always want to accentuate, not too much though, the femininity and seductiveness because I was born in a woman. So I loosely put on the kimono to show off my shoulders and collarbones.
It's Halloween. We need a spooky feeling. I added a hint of dark color to my lips to tone down. My hair was done by one of the guests, and I adored it so much. (THANK YOU!!!)
Glad to finally get dressed up as a Geisha for my Halloween costume!!! All the guests completely loved my second costume more than my first one, and said that I reminded them of a Geisha from "Memoirs of a Geisha"!! ( That's why I titled using a quote from "Mameha" in the movie)
Hope you enjoy my costume!
As always, thank you so much for your HYPES and COMMENTS!!!
