I pretty much built this look around my awesome witch hat, which I found at Dollarama when buying some school supplies - I'm not usually into creepy dressing/typical costumes, but I really liked the layout of the lace and how it fell, and how the spiderwebs blended into the lace pattern. I mostly bought it for fun, but when my amazing sheer top long sleeve matte dress finally arrived from Black Milk, I knew I had to pair them together. This dress has been on my wishlist since it first came out, and it was great timing that it showed up in my mailbox the day before I planned to shoot with a friend. I felt like the hat and the dressed played off each other, since both the sheer and lace fabrics are see-through and pretty. Also, you can't go wrong matching black with more black! My Back Offs are my favourite pair of shoes and I wear them constantly, but I especially loved how the distressed look of the leather complimented the rest of my outfit. The lace charm on my necklace seemed like a perfect touch to the lace on my hat, and shredded black tights just tied the whole thing together.
This look was shot in an old, abandoned karate studio... it's technically open to the public, but required some tricky maneuvering to actually get into! The entire place was broken down and caving in, with broken glass and graffiti everywhere. I felt pretty creeped out just being inside of it, but it was definitely an amazing backdrop for some spooky photos! :)
