Greens have gotten the green light for this fall and winter fashion seasons. While emerald has been dubbed the “color of the year”, one of fall’s must-have is green moss (or “deep lichen green” as they called it). Think of moss green as similar to black, winter white and grey - it is a perfect choice for a neutral when you’re perhaps trying to avoid wearing the same grey flannels or the day-to-night LBD. Literally, this nature-inspired hue is versatile and easy to dress up or wear casually with endless accessory possibilities and countless complimenting colors. Usually, black & moss green matched together creates a perfect urban concept so I followed this basic rule by pairing my moss green dress with black high heels and sunglasses to achieve a sultry yet put-together look. But I don’t like to get lost too much in the moss and verily, moss can make you bland or boring without any accessories, so I chose to pull the hue off with little effort by complimenting it with some yellowish gold items: a statement gold necklace and a gold watch, and they work perfectly together. To brighten the hues and accent the look, I topped this neutral shade off by adding a pop color, an orange bag and some red orange lipstick, an alternative way to give moss an urban chic which made me look demure at work but still posh and sophisticated in my own way. Hope you like it.
