This week, Virginia is experiencing every type of weather (seriously.. from rain to snow to 70 degrees), and today happened to be pretty warm. It was also the last night to go out for me because finals start pretty soon, so I decided to capitalize on the situation by wearing a silky blouse with 3/4 length sleeves. No jacket necessary.

Dressing to go out in the winter can be tricky because you have to find a balance between looking good and staying warm. Personally, if I'm not wearing skinny jeans, I like to wear leggings. Yes, leggings. I know most people associate leggings with either the gym or a lazy day, but there are so many different types of leggings that are in style! If you're wearing a longer shirt, plain black leggings and boots are perfectly acceptable for a night out (tip: you can even get fleece-lined leggings for extra warmth). Otherwise, go with a fun patterned or leather legging look to instantly dress up a look. It's like going to a bar in your pajamas, and it's great.
