Just another day at the office. I took this shot just before I left, so my shirt is still perfectly crisp and uncreased. I iron each shirt in the morning prior to leaving, for that fresh off the ironing board feeling! (Oh, my trousers look too creased! They need a pressing....)
I really like Richard James' designs. He is a tailor by trade, but his range of men's clothing has grown to include shirts, ties, socks, knitwear and other accessories. He designs very modern takes on traditional styles and patterns.
This tie is a classic example from last year's Autumn/Winter collection (2007/8). The background material is a two-tone dark turquoise silk overlaid with an alternating widely distributed turquoise and black stripe. To cap it off, it has substantial wool lining which is perfect for tying a good chunky knot. Today I have opted for the four-in-hand, with a thumb-sized dimple (I can't believe I have just written a whole paragraph about a tie!)
