The #1 source for fashion inspiration from real people around the world.
It’s been almost 3 months since that fateful day when Super Typhoon Haiyan literally devastated the beautiful city I used to live in (Tacloban, Philippines). It is very easy to get angry and lose hope but I chose not to. We may have lost everything but never our HOPES.
I’m a survivor and I’m stronger than Haiyan..
I am stronger not because I was lucky enough to have survived but because I know that God has a purpose for it.
I am stronger not because I have accepted that some dreams are temporarily lost or put on hold but because I know I shall overcome.
I am stronger not because I did not lose a family member but yes like everyone else I also have my own fair share of lost friends and people dear to me. I also grieved but I know that there must be some really good reason why God had to call them back home ahead of us.
I am stronger not because I still have something left to go home to compared to the more unfortunate ones who lost everything they have but simply because I know that God shall replenish them with blessings threefold to what they have lost if they only believe.
There must be some reason why God allows tragedy to happen to His people. We may not understand it now. Probably later. But until then I shall keep the faith.
