I felt like dressing like a princess. I thought this necklace was long lost but I found it in a box I never quite unpacked when I moved to my current apartment. It was originally even larger with tassels coming off the bottom but they were removed before I ever met the piece. I think of it as a sort of amulet what with the (fire-breathing) dragon on it.

I just adore this corset but I don't really wear it often enough. I like it on days I won't have to do a lot of sitting. Have you ever driven in a corset? Terrible.

Is it a necklace made from a door knob? Or I'm misinterpreting something? It looks really special anyway. And I love dark red combined with gold, looks very royal, queen-like :)
Alicatstrut S
Haha, no. Around these parts we call oversize flat backed necklaces door knockers because of the way they bang against your chest when you walk. Thanks!

Why hasn't this look got more hypes.
It is amazing :)) Very imaginative. Can I ask what your inspiration was?
Alicatstrut S
Thanks. That's so kind of you to say. This outfit started with the necklace, which I thought was fairly weighty and masculine and nice contrast for a corset. So that came next. I like a lot of contrast and mixing in general so pairing the severe lines of the corset with a flouncy Japanese Lolita skirt seemed like the right fit. The shoes came last. :)
Rita Trixtar
wow, that deep red corset is stunning and works so well with the necklace!

How lovely and sweet you are! I'm not going to be home for a few days but I took a quick peek at a few of your looks and I can't wait to have a moment to check them out in greater detail.

Part timer? Normally I'm a man, husband and father if you refering to this. I thing I would have to wear it everyday for long time to change me shape permanent.
Alicatstrut S
Yeah, agreed. And, yes, I was referring to whether or not you wear girl clothes full-time.
Ania Trans
I Poland it would be very difficult to do it in public. Does men in US dress full time often. Can you see such on the streets?
Alicatstrut S
Not everywhere in the US but here in NY there are plenty of places where people can hang out and do their own thing and be what they want to be. Even here they might be subject to some backlash but at least there is Community.
Ania Trans
Exactly, I would love to visit NY one day. No even because of this. I love big cities and NY is my first choice destination. I hope to go to London or Amsterdam one day to hand out dressed up. But probably I wiould be with family so even then no chance to do it
Alicatstrut S
The world changes too too slowly. ;)
Ania Trans
agree, fortunatelly changes, young people are more open. I hope my daughters will be open and acceptable. So maybe in my late years I will be able to dress up :)
Alicatstrut S
I hope so. In the meantime, at least their father is there for them.
Ania Trans
I would always be thier father even in dress and heels. but only then they will understand and accept it
Alicatstrut S
Yeah, no, I didn't mean you wouldn't be. I meant at least this is not a thing for which you needed to abandon your family. Plenty of people are like that, you know? (My father was. Though for different reasons.)
Ania Trans
I see, sorry for that. I love to dress up but even more I alvays wanted to have family. Even its very hard not to dress up for months I wouln't change it. Its great chatting with you, unfortunatelly I will be heading home as its 5 pm already in Poland. Would be great to stay in touch and chat again here or if you want maybe on gtalk. kisses Ania
Alicatstrut S
Yep, I popped out myself to make an appointment. Have a good night. Kiss those kids. ;)
