There are a few items on my neverending wishlist that I would love to have but that feel too special to be simply picked up downtown while running errands. My leopard coat was one of those - I hesitated for ages over an ASOS version but am so much happier having waited for the perfect vintage version that Lydia found for me. And my new raspberry beret is another. I probably could have found a raspberry beret in a tacky tourist shop in Paris, where berets are a dime a dozen. But with my wool allergy and exacting tendencies I held out for the perfect one to come along. It was the right decision. When Nat from Made in Home, whose sewing and knitting skills constantly blow me away, contacted me about collaborating on a hat, I knew it was time for a raspberry beret to finally make its way into my wardrobe. This beauty is made of silk yarn, which means I can wear it comfortably for as long as I like. And the fact that it was made by hand just for me means that I will treasure it forever. And if you love a good DIY, you can have one, too - just stop by Nat's blog to learn how!
