It’s beginning to feel a lot like Summer in Dubai as the weather has risen to 30 degrees celsius in just a matter of two weeks, but the nights are still quite pleasant. Before Summer hits us in full swing, I’m celebrating Spring with Marks & Spencer with my fourth and final look. Nothing identifies with Spring more than pretty florals and pastel colors such as lavender. And of course Spring is the time to take advantage of basking in the sunlight, running barefoot on the grass and smelling the flowers in bloom.
I love maxi dresses, the only minor issue I have with maxis is that they are more often than not too long for me, given my petite frame. It’s a good thing that most high street brands I favor have already introduced a ‘Petite’ line, though if I see something I really must have that is not available otherwise, off to the tailors I go! Luckily, this floral chiffon maxi dress from the Marks & Spencer new Spring 2014 collection falls right at my ankle, which is the perfect length.
For this look I wanted to go for ‘boho chic’, since I have already covered night, day, and versatile with my previous three looks. I accessorized with a lightweight crochet detail scarf which you can wear around your neck or your shoulders, and a blush pink satchel bag. The outfit is easy breezy for weekends at the park or if you’re on holiday it’s perfect for a day of sightseeing. And on the plus side, I can keep wearing this dress throughout my nine months of pregnancy!
