The truth about me - I'm not one of those matchy-matchy, blue shoes-blue belt, colour-coordinated type of girls, I'm not about that life. I will either under or overdo. So given the opportunity to overdo with a #MINIMAL clean attitude - I'm your girl.
Because that kind of #SIMPLICITY is so appealing to my heart, the #MONOTONE, single-hue, #ALLONECOLOURED trend is the best thing since uhm I dunno, Science ?
This trend has worn a few guises over the seasons, from melancholic blacks to sporty whites, but this season celebrates the colourful side of #MONOCHROME. Colourful Monotonous Monochromatics , too much ? You're probably right.
Ironically so, the less colour used, the more intriguing a look becomes as nothing beats the sophisticated eccentricity of a #SINGLESHADED outfit. Plus it's so much fun to go shopping with this state of mind.
Fresh, new and #CHIC, blowing one colour out head-to-toe allows an outfit to flow beautifully. However flowing beautifully has never really been my strong-suit so for this outfit, worn to a swanky Restaurant opening at the V&A Waterfront, I attempted a Monotone #MENSWEAR Chic idea of #MONOCHROMATIC Dressing. The trick is to combine different textures and fabrics, think leather and charmeuse, lace and linen, knit and cotton. Which is the route I went with in a set compiled of an oversized #MASCULINE sweater jersey and architecturally structured skirt for a loose and #ASYMMETRICAL fit.
Altough the #BURGUNDY flavoured hue is somewhat sexy and feminine, the #EDGE and #ADROGYNY comes through the slouchy fit and sharp lines of the #DIY skirt. What do you guys think ?
