Say hello to the new face of #fashion. Lions, #tigers and Bears; Sharks, Wolves and Rottweillers. This season we pay tribute to our furry, feathered and other featured friends - who epitomise the High Street's latest #trend - #animalmotifclothing. Let's face it, an #animalistic theme in Fashion is always somewhere out there and we have bared witness to the seasons consistently evolving their input into Fashion Culture.
First we saw, what was a needed transition; from tacky to stylish, of the graphic #print. Then we saw how sophisticated Zebra to Leopard, Leopard to Snakeskin magnified runways and the High Streets. And the evolution continues as we see Fashion trying to re-chic #animalillustrations and giving them more of a dominant presence. Thanks to the likes of Givenchy, Burberry, Kenzo and Peter Som, Faces are innocently snuggled onto the sweaters, dresses and jackets of only the coolest of people.
Animal Motif clothing is clearly the cat's meow this season. This Animal Face trend can be loud and subtle at the same time, usually embodied by a representation of a beautiful beast one one's ( my ) #tshirt, often inundated by smart tailoring and #monotone colour schemes. Kind of what I did here with the #structured clean cut of the infamous #black #skort and #anklestrapped Sandals.
