It turns out that my plan to find a perfect pair of boyfriend jeans in just two days wasn't so unrealistic. I've had a pair of classic boy jeans in my imaginary Madewell shopping cart since, I kid you not, early 2011. But I wasn't sure about the sizing and I hate having to return anything I've ordered online unless it's absolutely neccessary. So I waited. And waited. I tried boyfriend jeans from J. Brand - too big, even in the smallest size. And from Gap - cut too slim through the thigh. And from American Eagle - too much distressing. And from so many other brands. All the while, patiently awaited my next trip to Madewell. I admit, there have been a few of those trips since 2011 but the store has frequently been out of my size and then there was, of course, the eighteen month gap when I lived in Paris then moved home but to had to recover from a year of French shopping. All that said, these jeans were worth waiting for. I am obsessed. I'll wear them year round but they really do seem like the perfect summer jean and I can't wait to come up with new ways to wear them in the coming months. Obviously, I'll need a bit of inspiration, so tell me - how do you wear your boyfriend jeans?
