Summertime is Romper time! I don’t think there’s anything I love more in the summer than a cute romper. They’re so comfy and effortless! I like to think of them as the dress’s more playful little sister. Just as cute, but a lot more fun ;) Like I said in my previous post, I’ve really been digging prints lately, so imagine my excitement when I found this little number at the store! And for less than $20, you’d best believe I bought it without hesitation. I kept the shoes and accessories simple today so they wouldn’t take any attention away from the romper. I sported these adorable white canvas cork wedges to complement the busy ikat print, although I’ve found that brown sandals look just as great. I used to go by this rule “black and brown make a frown,” but honestly, there are a few exceptions! It’s just a matter of finding the right pieces to put together. Also, Days of June got some new necklaces! This one in particular is one of my favorites. It’s an infinity hearts pendant and I wear it with almost everything. When I’m in the mood to layer pendants, I usually wear it with my 14k Gold Hearts necklace just cause the lengths work well together.
Now for my parting word. If you’re a simple soul like me and getting dolled up doesn’t come naturally to you, then printed rompers are an absolute must. I mean, any time you don’t have to spend an hour trying to figure out which pants go with what top is probably going to be a good day. Plus, you get all the mobility that you wouldn’t otherwise have when you’re wearing a dress. (No offense to dresses, I still love them like crazy) But with rompers, you don’t have to worry about wearing shorts/spankies under. You can run around, do a cartwheel, ride a unicycle! Now that’s what I call freedom.
