If I could give a pretentious name to my daytime style, I’d probably call it nouveau hippie (because for some reason, anything with a French word in it automatically sounds so high culture and snooty). I wish I were clever enough to have coined that term, but nouveau hippie is actually one of those sub-sub-genres of music I discovered at last.fm.
Anyway, I may not exactly be a hippie in practice, but that doesn’t mean I can’t love the bright earthy colors and the laid-back vibe attributed to old hippies (how do you say “old†in French?) of the 70’s.
