I am not a professional photographer by any means, however I do know the importance of light and how it affects the quality and mood of a picture. Whenever my brother, Griffith is in town, I force him (literally) to shoot for my blog as he has this crazy creative eye and unique perspective when he gets a camera in his hands. I believe you can tell a story through a series of photographs and the lighting you chose can really set the mood. I love how some of these photos have a really strong light that washes me out and creates an ethereal feel in contrast with my regular (but still super cool) outfit shots.
Anyways! I have gotten so many compliments on this dress and I must admit, I found it at Crossroads Trading Co. last week in West Hollywood for only $15.00! The tag was ripped off, so I have no idea who the designer is, but I wish I knew as I would be buying more of their stuff! This is the perfect “end of summer” maxi as it’s super light and has delicate black buttons that trickle down the front. Not to mention I’m obsessed with the black patches of lace and floral design!
