I am at the main entrance of the Whistlers Inn, in Jasper, Alberta, pretending to wait to catch somebody.
I think that it is hard to buy shorts that short, and that slim. Thus, I bought a pair of pants, and then cut most of the legs off, and hemmed them up.

No, no hosiery. But I like the idea about altering pants into shorts.

My best advice is to watch YouTube videos on how to do it, and check out many pairs of pants & shorts in the stores, so that you could see how they chose to stitch things together. The proper technique seems to so obvious, but I never thought about it thoroughly.
The next time I make a pair of shorts, I'll hem them up a little at a time, a few times, so that I could practise, and not do it too short.
