Repost. My first post got deleted. I have got to start reading the rules haha. Anyway, here's my original post:
So last Saturday was the Preview Best Dressed Ball and this was what I wore. The theme for this year’s ball was Alexander McQueen. All the guests must come in anything McQueen-inspired. I got my inspiration from McQueen’s S/S 2010 collection (which is my favorite) and a little from his fall 2008 collection. Production for this dress was super crammed. I wanted to look for a certain fabric but I had a hard time looking for it because there aren’t much extraordinarily pretty prints available here in the Philippines. Plus, my beader suddenly bailed on me at the last minute so I had to do the beading with my favorite household help. Good thing she knows how to do basic lock and sew. I wanted to do so much more with the beading, but due to time constraints, this was the best we can do. We only finished beading 3 hours before the party. Goodness gracious.
Notice my wedge shoes? It’s so comfortable! Didn’t trip at all the whole night haha Italians really do know their shoes! I actually had these shoes in mind too while designing my dress :)
Anyway, the party was great. I’ve never been to a more fashionable party ever! Everyone dressed to the nines. And I mean to the NINES! It’s so nice to see so many people in McQueen-inspired pieces. Some people really took it to the next level. They looked like they came straight from Alexander Mcqueen’s runway. They even had the exact hair and make-up on from Mcqueen’s previous shows. Love it! :) Oh and happy thought, I saw 2 people wearing Coexist that night. I was actually supposed to design a dress for someone too, but I had to turn it down because we were already too busy. i don’t want to commit if I’m not certain I can deliver. Too bad, I really liked her peg. Hooooh well.
