A bit of history of patches on clothes:💋
It has started long time ago.. apparently when people began to dress up! Although it may be a little later when mistresses started thoroughly sew up holes in clothes for all inhabitants at home😉
In the literature, the patches have different symbols. In the novels of Dickens — desperation and hopelessness, in Hemingway works - violence and fragmentation.
The time passed and at the 19th century the patches had been used for various military ranks. The rank of patches has also significantly increased.
Finally these details were introduced to fashion in the early 60's thanks to subcultures. Hippies were the first who took them and decorated outfits.
Soon rebel-punkies followed the children of flowers and picked up it as a trend. Btw this subculture was completely saturated with the principle DIY (Do it yorself) at the time.
Now we can take this element, like self-expression. The choice is very wide. You can find anything decorated with embroidery patches. It seemed to me cool to combine two things such as a shirt and a decorative tie on which vivid humorous speaking patches swing.
