Remember a while back, I was waxing 90s nostalgia? My cousin who is based in Taipei went ahead and immediately bought me a pair of 50th anniversary vintage 1460 oxblood Dr. Marten boots as a belated birthday gift. She went for a visit in Manila recently, with these babies in tow. I love love love these boots! I'm going to make them my everyday shoes, like how most people would rely on their sneakers. They make me feel tough! I don't mind wearing flats, for once, and at least now I have something more serviceable to wear if I have to commute.
So I thought I might be working the 90s-girly-goth-punk too much and decided to throw in a cover up. I wore a black blazer over it first. Too safe, and well, the day was too humid for a blazer.
Then I remembered I had this this really long silk top of my mom’s with Chinese-style closures that’s been in my closet for ages. Probably since high school. I’ve never worn it, though, but I always thought I would so I never got around to returning it to my mom, haha. This time I finally had occassion to wear it, and though I didn’t plan on an overall cream-colored scheme, I think I liked the effect very much.
