I am into fashion as a sideline observer and a classic-look participant. I'm generally a "Brooks Brothers" kind of guy. I am an entrepreneur by profession and have started several very successful companies but have always considered myself an "artist" at my core. I love creating and what I create are successful companies. Fashion is an art as well. And it fascinates me. The artistic ideals of fashion are quite attractive to me.
Fashion is completely visceral. It can be overtly or covertly sexual and it can be neither but overpoweringly sensual. To be fashion successful, one must have self-knowledge
and honesty; to be able to view oneself with perspective and present that in manifest action. It can the first line of commanding respect or the first line of presentation of a clown. Fashion, despite what the worlds tries to tell us, is the realization and acceptance that we are first and foremost visual beings and form opinions based on what we see.
It is unlikely that I will be posting any Looks and at some point will warm to the notion of putting my gorgeous face as an icon. But I do intend to voice opinion and reason as I observe and comment. I think too many Lookbookers are Compliment Sluts: That is, too easy to say, "amazing" over nothing. Few things are amazing. Most are just ok, and some are outright horrible. I intend to call it as I see it, nothing personal.
