I always try to buy Faux leather when I can, but I'm told that it can fall apart easier than leather.
What do you get? Faux or Real?

Yes! I always feel squeamish about buying leather as I adore animals and the thought of them being butchered to make a pair of shoes, coat or gloves just upsets me.
And good point about the 2nd hand leather (:

Because as much as I don't like hurting animals, I want to know what is durable.

I prefer real leather. Faux leather has kind of a flimsy feel to it.

Faux, I don't eat beef and consequently don't feel good about buying new leather products (yay for arbitrary dietary choices).

However, I was in need of warm, waterproof boots recently (never owned a pair in my life)... and because of the limits of my size, I finally gave in and bought leather boots. I was basically wiling to buy boots made of human baby skin at that point.

Leather is definitely more durable.

I own stuff in both materials. And as someone else said, i would rather buy leather shoes that I know I will wear to death than fake leather shoes that will rip after the 3rd time I use them.

It doesn't matter but I like the feel of real leather better. Most of my shoes are made from real leather or suede but my other items are fake. I don't really think about it, I just buy it.

Real if it's a piece I know I'll wear a lot because it looks better, holds up better, and smells so.... leathery, yum. If it's just acrappy jacket or bag, then faux.

real leather shoes, I can't emphasize the difference it makes. faux leather boots chips and don't keep feet warm enough.
also probably real leather jackets, for the same reason.

everything else, it doesn't matter to me, the price of the item is the deciding factor, and faux leather is usually cheaper.

real leather definitely, i bought a faux leather jacket and when i first wore it, i
touched it to see if it was smooth but apparently some black stuff were rubbing off
and were all on my fingers.

I never even touch fake leather. It looks cheap. Its TERRIBLE FOIR THE ENVIRONMENT! And its a waste of money, because fake leather things look trashed after about a month of regular use.

I think both, sometimes real leather isn't that good quality like faux and clockwise. I think it really depends on the feeling, how does it look and other factories. But, of course, I prefer to buy faux leather products, when I can.

Definitely real leather. I do love faux, but I normally have to baby my faux leather because I'm afraid that it will fall apart

Faux leather! I can't stand brutal barbarian types who use big heavy loud buffalo-rifles to hunt down animals just for their skins and horns, so I'm all for faux leather!!!
