I'm doing some research for my final major project and am wandering if anyone can point me in the right direction of a film...or films...that are roughly of a gothic fairytale genre.

Pan's Labyrinth is a perfect example of the type of film I am looking to watch for inspiration!

Edward scissorhands...that sort of thing!!

Please let me know if you have any suggestions, thank you :)

perhaps the recent red riding hood film (can't remember the title) might be useful. also some scenes from the brother's grimm film might work

'The Labyrinth', definitely, you've gotta love a little David Bowie ;).
Also 'The Dark Crystal' is a brilliant one. I loved that film as a child.
