This is gonna come out as a rant, well cause it is I guess but I am so sick of seeing people who have profiles and dont post anything!
I think it should be agaisnt the rules to be a member and not post anything, this is a fashion site for god sake you are here to take part not just to look! if you wanted to do that you could have just not been a member and looked at the site. I hate it when I see someones commented somewhere and they have a really good profile pic so I go to there page and they post nothing!

The worst ever is when people are members and dont even hype other looks or comment or anything. I understand that some people dont have good cameras but as proved by people before, people get on the hot page without them, and if you dont have a bloody camera then dont become a member!

I seriously cant be the only person who is annoyed by this?

Yeah I understand people dont have looks straight away, and you do look around for inspiration and check you wont be copying others, but some people have been memebers for over a year and still not posted anything! thats what gets to me

aah, I'm pretty sure I've been a member for a while, but only this month did I actually look into lookbook, and consider using it.

I'm about to post a look. But, I comment, hype and all that jazz.
Making it a rule that you have to post a look? No, I don't think that'd be a good idea.
Why? Because, like you said, some don't have a good camera, and the rules state the picture has to be of good quality.

I dont think theres anything wrong with no looks, theyre missing out really. but maybe they dont feel they are stylish enough?
What annoys me is people who post nothing, hype nothing, love nothing, comment on nothing, or even if they have posted their own looks but they dont give any output on anything else, that annoys me

I agree with everyone who's posted about not having pictures. I mean, yeah, sometimes folks don't have a proper camera, or don't feel they can contribute to Lookbook yet. But I lean more on the side of Billie-Jo; I think it's only right that if you have an account, you contribute just like everyone else.

If you put an application to get your Lookbook account, you don't have a choice but to post your first look straightaway! In that sense, you must contribute to be apart of the community, which I think is a good value; it shows that we care about everyone's sense in fashion, and everyone has to show equal representation before participation. Don't want to post your first look? You can simply use your Facebook, or your Twitter, or Tumblr to connect to LB; you can still Hype people's looks, and you can comment all you want. But since you're not an official member yet, for whatever reason, you don't get the privilege of the forums, a list of previously hyped and loved looks, amongst the other features.

I think it's only fair. But, hey, I think a lot. Just my 2¢.

why does taking part = posting pictures? maybe someone has a horrible disfigurement and doesn't want to post photos, but wants to be involved with other people's fashions and opinions. at the end of the day, LB is a pretty shallow place (sweeping generalisation, i know) and maybe some people aren't comfortable with taking pictures.

i haven't taken any because i haven't felt comfortable enough / good looking enough in an outfit to post it for the world to see, but i enjoy posting on other people's looks and the forums. jam your hype.

Well, this is more like booking a slot on a channel but not broadcasting anything but ratings of other shows.

Regardless, if they contribute well in other aspects, giving constructive criticism in the forum/on looks, then it's fine.

Though if they're just occupying an account just for the sake of it, that account could be better used on someone who really wants to contribute but can't get invited or isn't accepted yet.

I havent posted any looks, thats because my camera broke! As soon as I made account, I took so photos, and just before I uploaded them, my camera decides not to switch on. I comment and stuff, but I'm waiting for my crappy camera to fix, and then I can upload :)

Well, it's a long time since I posted a look. And I just don't have a good camera, I posted some looks so that people could see how my style is, but I don't want to post more looks if I don't get a better camera. I'm here to get inspired and to post in the forum (partly because it can help me improve my English, partly because I love you).

if people have an account, but don't do anything at all - they just leave that account and nothing more.
when people are active, but don't post a look - it's normal, i think. why should i post my look if i'm not so stylish? i just want to see stylish people's looks, that's all.

I like the forum, I like hyping other peoples looks, I like to give other people compliments.
I don't have any looks - yet. I think that is what all members with no looks thinks. "I'll post something when I have something good."

What would you like most? Members with really ugly looks or members with none at all?
At least I would like to post a really good look that I like.

oh okay, no hypes for you if I don't have a profile? I'm pretty involved since I've gotten a profile. I don't have a camera because it was stolen, I'm not running out to by a camera for a website. I have better things to spend my money on. I'm sure if a friend of mine takes a picture of me that I like I'll post it up, but other than that, I'm still benefiting the site even if I don't post up looks myself! Does my opinion not matter to people just because they can't see my clothes?!

I don't take pictures because I don't feel that I look good eough to put myself on a website where i'm about to be judged. I wouldn't have joined if I could've posted on the forums. Ive noticed that a lot of the really popular people on here don't hype or post on the forums, so it's not all about posting looks.

It used to bother me a lot before a became a member. I would spend hours on here everyday. (I didn't have a life.) Then I would see someone post their url on another website so I would click it and they wouldn't have any looks! I'm like.. seriously? You don't even deserve to have an account! But now that I'm a member I just don't pay any attention to it. I don't have a lot of photos but I try to post one everytime I get a picture of whatever I'm wearing. hah. My main problem is not having anywhere to take pictures and not having anyone to take pictures of me.

why are people saying "broken camera is not an excuse"
wtf? sorry pictures dont fly out my ass.
my camera IS broken and im not gonna buy another one just so people will stop complaining about something that doesnt matter.
people are dieing in the world, with no water or food, but screw that, lookbook members havent posted picture! GOOD GOD NOOOOOOOO!
I actually DO write on the forums, I hype people looks, I comment people looks. Most people dont do that, they just post a picture and dont get involved.

I got hate mail about a month ago telling me I should die because I havent posted looks :o

Lots of teens on this webite cant afford a camera, but they love fashion. Think about it, and stop complaing about something so god damn pointless.
THATS MY RANT!

I understand what you guys are saying, but seriously, if they're contributing in anyway its fine. How does it negatively affect you if someone hasn't posted any looks? Instead of complaining about it do something positive and encourage them to post looks or go take some more sexy pictures of yourself or whatever. You contribute nothing by whining about it. If you find it annoying, well what does that say about you? You don't feel good about yourself so you find some lame reason to bring someone else down? Now, I know there is no one here like that, we are super cool sex machines so let's get out there and get people to post photos (including me, I seriously need to get some up).

the main point of this website is fashion, whether your posting pictures or just hyping a look, you can still be interested and a part of lookbook

toooootally agree.
lookbook is an invite community and the reason people are invited is because they have good style and the inviter thinks you should share the style, if you don't it kinda defeats the point, doesn't it?
and i noticed someone said lookbook was really shallow.. well ofcourse? the whole point is it's about fashion and style in the first place..
ahhh i can feel i'm about to go off on a rant here so i'll stop, but yeah, posting looks should be a little bit more of a necessity in my opinion, unless you have a good reason.. and i do think something like a broken camera is a fair excuse.

i guess it's more inactivity that bugs me.

I'm with you there. I have invited a couple of people who were super excited about the site, but then stopped going on after a few days and now their accounts just sit there. It makes me sad.
