Hello! I'm kinda new here, I love this site, I want to upload looks but I don't know which programs to use. I tried to download Photoshop, but no results. What programs do you use, programs that don't ruin the quality of photos?

hi!

im not sure what you mean by 'programs that don't ruin the quality of photos' because programs don't do that! it's people who don't know how to use those programs properly that ruin those photos! i took a look at your pics just now and i would probably say they don't really need editing. they are shot in natural light and well, not in a mean way but if you don't already have a photo editing program then that probably mean that you don't know how to use one and well, you could end up ruining your photos if you don't really know what to do?? like i said, sorry, im not trying to be mean! i just really think your photos are fine and if you do wrong things to it, it could look worse!

what ive seen ppl done really badly to their photos is adding weird colours to it (thinking it makes it look 'cool' or 'arty') or they increase too much contrast or too much brightness or something like that.

what would you like to achieve with a photo editing program so maybe i could recommend you better?? :D i use photoshop btw and i don't do very much to my photos at all. :D

I don't have Photoshop.
For example, sometimes I'm using Instagram, after editing, the photos changes their resolution, it's smaller and when I zoom in, I can't understand anything from that.
I use some editing tools and the photos are better but when I save them...they're small.

oh i see! well i wouldn't really categorize instagram as a photo editing program =P

photoshop doesn't do that. you edit your original quality photo on your computer and once you are done, the photo doesn't change quality. unless you have done lots of weird things to it. for example, if you have shot a photo in a really dark area, and you brighten it up TONS, then your photo will become grainy and it will make it look like the quality has dropped. so in order to edit your photos well, you need a well-shot photography to begin with. like cooking, you need good raw materials to make a good meal :D

What I think you mean is aspect ratio not quality. Quality is determined by the camera/lense/sensor and output file (compressed vs raw).
Another choice is go open source and get the Gimp which is free and legal. Photoshop is a lot more professional but it is a bit of a hassle to crack. Of course you could try Adobe Photoshop CC for a 30 trial.
