i just want to know what other's think about Art. It's so vast that it can be anything. I don't believe there is a right or wrong answer, b/c it's so complex and profound.

But please do let me know what you think. It could help me on a paper that i'm writing on. (:

Thanks a lot, birds and bee's ;)

Whatever I want it to be.
Anything I put value on, anything I appreciate.
So it changes, like everything else.

something that will make me think, or get a point across, without the use of words

To be honest, there is too many types of art, I think true art is something that takes time and has a pupose.

Its a multifacted in that there are a limitless number of things that are extentions of art. Music, literature, fashion, film and pictures are all different varieties of art, but not all music, literature, film, fashion or images are art nessecerly. Art is unfortunatly too commotized, there are too many artifical barriers created by elitist collector snobs with no actual creative ability of their own. Art shouldn't be commercialized or bought and sold the way it is, it can't be like that forever though cause the creative spirit will crush what has been holding it back.

In my opinion, I have to say that anything that you work hard for and see beauty and a message in it is what art should be.

to me
an artist: someone who is very clever and witty with a lot of raw imagination
art is something that shows cleverness, imagination above all, and the ability to make someone laugh or cry through it. even though i consider myself an artist (drawing, painting, acting) and i can draw realistically, i don't think that that is art, drawig someone realistically is generally just copying a picture, requires little or no imagination and is basically just copying. i also think that fashion is art. It's a form of art i don't think i meet the standard in, especially when i see all these photos on here of you guys in your styles, the photography too, it's all just brilliant.

I believe art is emotion, you can make it with any emotion and create different styles, if you dont put effort into your emotions you cannot properly express them, but if you have ambition with your art and can put your emotions into it it becomes beauty.
it is one of the best expressions of selfness i have to say.

Art is an object quite visually pleasing for me. I am not really smart enough to tell any one what art is because it can an expression of emotions, to something which is made to make money.

Art comes from the Latin "ars" meaning "skill" so in my opinion anything can be art is studied and mastered.
